Problem Statement
At Wellington Beach, gatekeepers are vital for managing entry fees during the busy summer season. However, the current gatehouse setup lacks comfort and efficiency, forcing gatekeepers to stand outside with umbrellas for shade, providing minimal protection and convenience.

Recognizing this need for improvement, we designed the Wellington Beach Gate House to offer a practical, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing solution. This new structure provides a welcoming entry point for visitors while ensuring gatekeepers have a shaded, functional space to operate efficiently throughout the summer months.

To seamlessly blend with the local environment, we conducted a thorough survey of neighborhood architecture and styles. This research informed our design, allowing us to create a gate house that reflects community preferences and integrates harmoniously with its surroundings. Our innovative approach involved experimenting with various structures and materials to develop a solution that not only meets functional needs but also enhances the beach's architectural identity.
