Problem Statement

Our client has acquired a single-family detached home from the 1950s, located in a burgeoning area of Toronto, anticipating a surge in population and real estate demand. This home, currently featuring outdated amenities, presents a prime opportunity for transformation. The objective was to fully modernize and renovate this property, converting it into a state-of-the-art smart home, thereby capitalizing on the potential for significant returns through house flipping in the up-and-coming market.

In our comprehensive redesign of this home, we've meticulously restructured both the main floor and the basement to cater seamlessly to the needs of a modern family. Guided by human-centered design principles, our layout ensures that a family of four can live comfortably with all the amenities tailored to enhance daily living.

 

Furthermore, the property features a thoughtfully planned separate back entrance to the basement. This design element allows for smooth access to a fully independent lower level, ideal for housing an additional family of four. This arrangement is perfect for rental opportunities or hosting Airbnb guests, ensuring privacy and independence between the two living spaces.
